OptiX PTN960 is a new generation of mobile access transmission equipment for packet transmission by huawei. The equipment can be placed on the side of the base station for base station service access, or on the IRPAN aggregation layer for service aggregation equipment. After integration, multiple services accessed by OptiX PTN960 or OptiX PTN910 can be transmitted to higher-level equipment.
The PTN960 box is 442mm (width) ×220mm (depth) ×2U (height, 1U=44.45mm). The use of the box is divided into dc box and ac box. The dc box can be used in conjunction with the dc power access board PIU, and the -48v dc power supply can be used to supply power to the PIU single board, or the eps30-4815af external ac power supply system can be connected to 220V ac power supply and converted to dc power to supply power to the PIU single board. Ac box and ac power access board APIU are used together to support ac 220V power supply. 1+1 power supply hot backup is supported for dc power supply or ac power supply.

PTN960 is connected from the base station side through TDM, ATM/IMA or FE, and ml-ppp, packet microwave, FE or GE interfaces are used for networking between PTN devices. When the Offload solution is adopted, OptiX PTN960 connects to the xDSL network through the xDSL interface and delivers HSDPA traffic to the sink node via the xDSL network. OptiX ptn3900/1900 on the BSC (Base Station Controller) /RNC (RadioNetwork Controller) side connects to BSC/RNC after business aggregation.

OptiX PTN960 has perfect QoS (Quality of Service) capability, realizing standard PHB (per-hop Behavior) of eight groups of BE, AF1, AF2, AF3, AF4, EF, CS6 and CS7, enabling network operators to provide Service guarantees with different Quality of Service levels for users, and realizing the integrated network carrying data, voice and video services at the same time.
OptiX PTN960 supports in-band DCN (Data Communication Network is a part of Network management for transmitting Network management information), so there is no need to establish a dedicated DCN channel to ensure the intercommunication of Network management information, thus greatly saving the cost of Network construction.
PTN960 supports physical layer Clock synchronization mechanism, IEEE 1588 V2 precise time Protocol PTP and 1588 ACR (Adaptive Clock Recover) Clock synchronization mechanism. Provide high precision time and clock information for mobile communication service.
OptiX PTN960 supports the NSF function when the master control, switch and clock board is soft reset, that is, in the event of failure of the control plane of the device, the data forwarding is still performed normally to protect the business on the network. MPLS OAM is supported to realize fast fault detection. In case of failure, protection inversion can be triggered quickly to guarantee carrier-level service quality in packet switched network.
