Optical module is composed of optoelectronic devices, functional circuits and optical interfaces. Optoelectronic devices include transmitting and receiving parts. The transmitting part is: the electrical signal with a certain bit rate is processed by the internal drive chip to drive the semiconductor laser (LD) or LED (LED) to emit the modulated optical signal of the corresponding rate, and its internal optical power automatic control circuit, so that the output optical signal power remains stable. The receiving part is: the optical signal input module with a certain bit rate is converted into an electrical signal by an optical detection diode. The preamplifier outputs the corresponding code rate electrical signal.
Simply put, the role of the optical module is photoelectric conversion, the sending end converts the electrical signal into the optical signal, through the optical fiber transmission, the receiving end converts the optical signal into the electrical signal.
