The data shows that the cost of 5g base station will also exceed 2 times of 4G base station, the power consumption is 3 times of 4G base station, and the later maintenance cost is about 10 times of 4G. Therefore, the current 5g network adopts a non independent networking scheme, which is based on the 4G base station, mainly to reduce the cost of popularization. However, the independent networking scheme that can truly reflect 5g performance is difficult to use in the short term due to the long construction time and high equipment cost.
In a word, it is not easy to cover 5g in a large scale. For a long time, 5g could not completely replace 4G.
